Pino is a passionate musician with years of experience not only in teaching but also music arrangement and accompaniment. He is familiar with a large range of genres, ranging from EDM to pop music, even music from the 60s. Pino has organized and / or participated as a session pianist for over 100 public performances and events. Pino has also arranged many songs, particularly cantopop originals during his career as a musician.

 

As a music teacher, Pino has recognised the mass influence that digital audio workstations (DAWs) have had on the popularizing of music production. Through setting up CUBE Academy, Pino hopes to leverage from this culture to equip students with both music and production knowledge, so as to encourage them to take the extra step and be part of the creators' landscape in Hong Kong.

Pino's students range from aged 4 to 70, from having zero knowledge to even diploma level holders. He is therefore used to customizing his teaching methods and materials to cater for each student's level and goals - in order to be as practical and direct as possible. As Pino is a firm believer that theory is the cornerstone of learning music, all his crafted teaching materials have theory weaved into practical exercises, so that students will be able to learn theory alongside skills, instead of separating the two.
