“Drama is by far the quickest and most intriguing way to pick up a new language!”

Our English Drama courses are taught in short courses. You will be placed in groups according to your age and language level (special arrangements may be made in accordance with your ability, please contact us if you have any questions). You will be able to perform one scene/ chapter of a drama chosen by our instructor at the end of each course. Our lessons consist of drama foundation training and application of skills to the chosen drama excerpts.

Your Head Instructor

Sobi

English Drama

Our experienced english drama instructor Sobi is a graduate from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) Degree in Drama (Major in Acting). Sobi has conducted classes in English drama for students of all ages, ranging from 3 year old toddlers to adults in the working force. Sobi believes that through learning acting and voice projection skills, students will gain confidence in their posture, acting and most importantly their language skills

English Drama for Toddlers (Ages 3-6)
English Drama for Children (Ages 7-10)
English Drama for Young Adults (Ages 11-17)
English Drama for Adults (Ages 18+)

Course Outline

Stage 1

Lesson 1: Introduction and Script Reading Training

Lesson 2: Voice Projection, Posture and Casting for roles

Lesson 3: Learning the Script and Rehearsal

Lesson 4: Interaction between cast members and Rehearsal

Stage 2

Lesson 5: Singing Training and Familiarising with script

Lesson 6: Theatre Exercises and Familiarising with Script

Lesson 7: Mock Performance and Evaluation

Lesson 8: Performance and Feedback

*Performances may be in-person or pre-recorded, depending on the actual situation

*Students may enrol for Stage 2 courses only after they have completed the corresponding Stage 1 course

*Students who enrol in both Stage 1 and 2 courses will receive a 5% discount off the total course fee
